López Leza Consultores provides its clients with an added-value international focus, through its legal, political, economic, commercial and institutional consultancy services in the land transport field.
In order to drive growth in an increasingly global economy in which transport plays an essential role, it is vital that we increase the presence and participation of stakeholders from the transport industry with institutions, organisations and international fora, and with the public authorities and national organisations of other countries.
Our aim is to provide our clients, in line with their business areas or spheres of interest, with the knowledge and opportunity to enable them to react to all the legislative, political and economic proposals which are discussed, drawn up and approved for the transport industry in the various fora outside their country.
Similarly, and on a reciprocal basis, our clients must be able to communicate the regulations in their country or autonomous region to their business partners and the relevant authorities, in order to strengthen business relationships and attract investment and commercial and/or political development.
Luisa López Leza founded this specialist international road transport company. The firm was therefore built on her solid professional track record in the domestic and international transport industry. She graduated in Law from the University of Zaragoza and specialised in European Law and Policy at the ULB (Université Libre de Bruxelles) and the Complutense University of Madrid. She began her career in Brussels in 1995 in the former European Commission VII Directorate-General for Transport.
In 1996 she began working with ASTIC and FENEBUS in the European capital as a consultant on the EU transport industry.
In 2001 Luisa joined the ASTIC and FENEBUS team in Madrid as Head of the European Affairs Department, and in the 2007, at the General Meeting in Benidorm, she was appointed Secretary General of ASTIC. She combined this position with her job as CEO of SETIR from 2008 until August 20 2012.
Luisa has also held a number of other important positions, including: Expert on Transport in the Economic and Social Committee of the European Union in Brussels and Vice-President of the IRU (International Road Transport Union) Services Commission.
Now she is launching López Leza Consultores, a new business venture which aims to share the transport-related knowledge and contacts she acquired during her nearly twenty years of experience in the national and international industry, with public authorities, associations, companies and public and private organisations connected with the transport sector, in order to contribute to the economic and competitive development of all stakeholders.
This new professional venture is international in scope, with offices in Madrid, Brussels and Geneva. López Leza Consultores boasts a network of partners that have expertise in a variety of different areas in the transport industry, and who come from different countries and cultures.
